A New Year, a new beginning, and a new start to raising this year’s financial target of £1.45M to continue to provide the very specialised care that Derian House offers to terminally ill and life threatened children in the North West.
As a charity which receives minimal statutory funding, the hospice continues to have to raise the majority of its funds from voluntary donations. This means, in real terms, that while the hospice is open 365 days a year, it receives statutory funding for just 4, a major ongoing challenge in fundraising terms!
If you feel that you can help, whether it’s by supporting one of our campaigns, joining in one of our many events, making a bequest, becoming a volunteer, or simply placing one of our collection boxes in your local shop, we would be delighted to hear from you. Whatever you would like to do, we will be there to give you the support you need to do it. Please join us ..you’ll be helping to make every day special for the children of Derian House.
Raise Sponsorship Online
There is now a new and easy way to raise event sponsorship for Derian House online through the Just Giving website. If you are taking part in a sponsored event and want to raise additional sponsorship money, simply create a free online fundraising web page that can be personalised with a photograph and message, and email it to your friends and family. They can donate quickly and securely online with a credit or debit card. Plus, online donations from UK taxpayers can collect a 28% bonus through Gift Aid raising more money for Derian House.
