Registered Children's Nurse

Derian House Children’s Hospice is proud to have been providing high quality care to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions for the last 25 years. As we plan for the future developing and growing our services we are looking for children’s nurses who are passionate about delivering outstanding care and are keen to develop their skills in palliative care.

Whatever the stage of your career if you feel you are able to help us provide the best possible care to meet the individual needs of children and young people with life-limiting and life threatening conditions and provide support to their families we’d love to hear from you.

The Derian care team provides symptom management, palliative and end-of-life care, as well as short break respite care to children, young people and their families across Lancashire, South Cumbria and Greater Manchester. Supported by our dedicated community team, family support team, neonatal services and young people’s services we are able to provide a wide range of support and care in a variety of settings.

37.5 hours per week, worked on rotating shifts including nights, weekends and bank holidays

Housekeeper

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeper to join the team at Derian House Children’s Hospice to assist in the daily housekeeping activities within the Hospice. This is an exciting time for Derian House as we come to the end of our Fit For The Future Project and move into our newly renovated buildings.

Applicants must have previous relevant experience within a housekeeping role in a sensitive working environment, with the ability to multi-task. You must be able to demonstrate enthusiasm, have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able work effectively both within a team and individually.

Fundraiser

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and ambitious individual to join the highly successful fundraising team here at Derian House.

This Fundraiser role will include creating innovative approaches to raise funds that meet agreed targets and objectives. It involves responsibility for identifying, engaging and winning new support for the charity, as well as maintaining and developing existing support from the community.

The successful candidate will have experience of planning and managing successful projects, the ability to work to deadlines and excellent communication skills. They must be forward thinking, creative and ambitious with a “can do” attitude.

Bank Chef

 Derian House Children’s Hospice provides high quality care to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

 We are looking to recruit a relief chef/cook to cover holidays and time off in the running of our kitchens at Derian House.

You will need relevant experience within a catering environment, with the ability to multi-task and manage change.  You must be able to demonstrate enthusiasm, excellent communication and organisational skills and work effectively within a team. Ideally, you will have received training in food hygiene.
