An exciting opportunity has arisen to help generate Hospice income by joining the team of face to face fundraisers working on the Derian house lottery campaign. This team is separately employed by the Fundraising Partnership.
Your role will be to find more local people to support Derian House with a small regular donation so that they can make a big difference to local people. You do this by talking to people at their homes, being friendly, explaining what Derian House does and asking them to become a regular supporter of their local children’s hospice.
We welcome applications from people with sales experience in other fields but who maybe want to do something socially valuable with their experience. We also want people with no sales experience and who previously have not even thought of working in a sales-type role – because it is not a traditional style sales job at all.
It is a salaried role, enhanced by commission with full-time and part-time options. Average earnings holiday pay, a pension scheme and travel costs payment included. Full-time OTE is between £30-40k pa. You need to be sociable, and used to being active. Full training for everything else is delivered via a home study course and support and coaching in the field. You will also be ethical and take pride in doing a job sensitively and responsibly. You will need to be a driver and have a car that you can use for work, but will typically be working within a half-hour of your home.
