Derian dad Paul Woodward’s documentary, “The Little Things”, dives deep into the world of children’s hospices – and offers an exclusive look behind the scenes at Derian House. Directed by the award-winning Thomas Elliott Griffiths, the film highlights the moving stories and connections between families, staff, and volunteers, showcasing the blockbuster impact of hospice care.

Kacey's story
Our son Kacey is pure joy – always smiling and dancing, with a cheeky charm that melts hearts.
But Kacey has been very poorly throughout his short life, and we have been told to say goodbye to him a heart-breaking nine times.
Kacey is now five, and thanks to a rare multi-organ transplant we never thought possible, we’ve been given the most precious Christmas gift: the freedom of time with our little boy.

Jasmine’s brother Joel was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma, an extremely rare and aggressive type of cancer, when he was just 10 years old. He spent his last days at Derian House, based in Chorley, surrounded by his family, and passed away aged 11 in 2020 💫![]()

The 19-year-old - who claims she’s “not really a runner” - joined over 40,000 people to tackle 26.2 miles in the fourth most popular marathon in Europe – to say thank you to Derian House... 🥹![]()
