In 2022 Derian House gave away a brand new home worth £250,000 to one lucky winner in the Great Big House Giveaway!
The prize draw invited players to buy tickets, from £5, to win the three-bedroom detached home on Kingswood Homes’ Green Hills development in Feniscowles, Blackburn.
The house was kindly donated by Kingswood Homes, with the prize draw running from 3 August, 2021 to 13 September 13, 2022.
And the winner is...
Winner Charles Maughan was announced at a charity ball held at Hoghton Tower on September 17. His step-son and family have moved into the house and welcomed a new baby.
The Great Big House Giveaway and gala ball raised more than £400,000 for Derian House, and is the charity’s largest fundraising event to date.
The year of the Great Big House Giveaway
The GBHG is the largest single fundraising activity that Derian House Children’s Hospice has ever seen, with ticket sales amounting to £357, 486.
