Your questions answered

We would love to give our families a holiday every single year, but we currently care for more than 400 families throughout the North West. Although we have four holiday lodges, we do not have enough weeks holidays available to provide a week’s holiday to every single family every year, although you will certainly be eligible to make a return visit to our lodges.

Our priority is to ensure families that have never had a holiday receive one. Once initial requests have been reviewed families who have not stayed before are allocated their first choice (if available). After this, we then work out which families have had the longest period since their last stay. The final stage is to fill all available weeks with the remaining requests. We do this to try to ensure fairness and equal allocation amongst all of our families and we hope you agree that this is the best and fairest way to work. We always have a number of weeks to fill as well as regular cancellations, which is why it is worth families who wish to use the lodges submit a request even if they have already enjoyed a holiday with us.

Although we cannot promise a holiday every single year, it is likely that you will be able to enjoy a repeat holiday with us at some point. We also have regular cancellations and so it is worth recording your interest with us even if you have previously been on holiday to one of our lodges. We work hard to ensure we fill our lodges for as many weeks of the year as possible. It helps us do this if we have a record of our family’s preferred availability.

Ribby Hall is the busier or our two sites, with a wide range of facilities including restaurants, a luxury spa, playgrounds and many other activities to entertain the children (and adults too!) South Lakes is more calm and relaxing and suitable for a quiet break. It is set in a perfect location to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Lake District National Park.
