Helen Rotheram

I am a qualified accountant with more than 20 years experience in senior finance roles, mainly in financial services organisations.  I am currently focussed on raising my daughter and spending this very precious time with her.

I have carried out voluntary work throughout my life for many organisations. Some of the highlights have been trekking the Himalayas, working on social and environmental projects in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, singing with a choir for those experiencing homelessness, but the scariest was definitely completing a fire walk!

Being a Trustee at Derian House is my proudest role. I am extremely passionate about the work of the hospice and growing the services we can provide. I bring both financial skills and extensive fundraising experience and provide strategic and operational guidance to the board and management team.

Most important of all, I have a very personal connection to Derian House. My cousin was cared for at the hospice for many years until she sadly passed away here. The care shown to both her and my family was truly exceptional and whilst I could never repay this, I am passionate about ensuring the future success of Derian House, so that as many families as possible can experience the wonderful care we enjoyed.
